New Registration Website now called 'Sports Connect'!

Hello Soccer Families - this message was sent via email on 5/21 to all members who had an account on the Stack Sports platform.

The Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA) is moving to yet another website platform away from Stack Sports which unfortunately had multiple issues from day one when introduced in the Fall 2018 season.  The new website platform is called 'Sports Connect' and each soccer club in the various districts across CT need to submit their Travel teams/players using this platform due to CJSA requirements.

What does this mean for PSC Families?

  • All families who have an account on the legacy 'Stack Sports' platform will receive an email in the next 1-5 days to 'Activate' their account.  See the example of the email details at the bottom of this email so you know what to expect.
  • The vendor will be migrating over all player data and family information over to the new system.
  • When you receive this 'Activation' email, please follow the instructions and verify your information is correct.  If you have any issues logging in - please try 'Resetting your Password' or contacting Sports Connect for assistance.
  • Families that no longer have players participating in the Pomperaug Soccer Club - no action is required.
  • All existing Travel players (U10-U14) will need a new headshot picture uploaded but the age verification should carry over.
  • All New Travel players for U9 will need to upload a headshot picture and birth certificate for age verification.
  • Players of the In-House age groups (U4-U8) do not need a birth certificate, nor headshot photo uploaded at this time.
  • The clubs main website (http://www.pomperaugsoccerclub.com/) will continue to be on the League Athletics platform for team management, scheduling, and communications during the seasons.  This system provides the club the full feature set the we utilize and the new system does not yet have the same full feature set.
  • For now, the new registration website is only going to be used for the Travel Program registrations for the Fall 2020 season which will open early next week.

The club believes this is a good move long term and the new platform is more user friendly for the club and families, but does require some adjustments in the meantime.  We thank you in advance for your patience while we learn and implement a new system for the club.

The Activation Email will be similar to the details below - we recommend you use your email address as you username.
Subject: Pomperaug Soccer Club has moved to Sports Connect
From: support@clubconnect.com
Content: They will ask you to choose a new username and password using a link 'Update Account Information'

Thank you,

Pomperaug Soccer Club Spring Season Cancelled

** Updated 5/15/2020 **

An email was sent out to the families on 5/15 with players registered in the Spring 2020 season which outlined the refund program for Travel and In-House age groups.

**Updated 4/26/2020 **
Hello Pomperaug Soccer Club Players, Parents, and Coaches,

On behalf of the PSC Board, we hope everyone is healthy and doing their best with social distancing, as challenging as it may be for all of us, we are all in it together.

Unfortunately, but understandably, the Spring season has been cancelled.  As a follow-up to the email sent on 4/18/20 - the CJSA and Northwest/Southwest Districts met this past week and have officially cancelled the Spring 2020 Season.

The PSC board is in the process of preparing the refund program for the Spring registrations.  We will communicate the details within the next 2 weeks.  Thank you in advance for your patience as we have a lot to do behind the scenes.

Below is the full announcement received from the Northwest District (NWD) Board:

After a long discussion and consideration, along with communications with CJSA and other districts, the NWD executive board has decided to cancel the NWD sponsored spring 2020 league.

The Governor is not scheduled to provide additional guidance until May 20 (4 weeks) and unfortunately, youth sports is low on the agenda.  Waiting that long with a risk of the closure being extended is not healthy for the players, parents and administrators.  The season cancellation provides closure for everyone.

We will continue to send out updates via email, as well as post them on our website (pomperaugsoccerclub.com) as the information gets relayed to our club’s board. In the meantime, should you have any financial questions, please contact our Treasure Craig Perry at .

Stay safe and stay well.

**Additional links added 5/16 **

Hello Soccer Families,

We hope you are healthy and managing the quarantine as best as possible.  While the state of the Spring season is not officially known from CJSA, we do know we will not have any team practices any time soon.

In the absence of team activities, we would like to provide the virtual resources below for our soccer families to keep active and we encourage players to do some activities each week depending on your personal schedules.

This information is also posted on our website and will continue to be updated - pomperaugsoccerclub.com

If you would like more guidance on the Home Training Options above, you can reach out to psctravelsoccer@outlook.com.

Thank you,
Pomperaug Soccer Club

Pomperaug Soccer Club Uniform & Fan Gear Information

Uniform & Fan Gear store Vendor:

Moving forward the club will use Soccer.com to provide our uniform kits and fan gear options including shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, hats, and more.

  • The direct link to the Pomperaug Soccer Club Online store on soccer.com is HERE.
  • Families will have more variety of fan gear products and customization options available.
  • See the additional details about Soccer.com and benefits to our soccer families HERE.
  • Families will also be able to purchase uniform kit replacements if needed but please review the points below.  The club will have a new style of Red jersey for the Fall 2020 season.
  • If anyone really requires a replacement for the Spring season, the existing jersey styles are now available.

Uniform Replacement Cycle:

As with many retailers, every style has a shelf-life based on the manufacturer.  We have been provided the following guidance for planning when to replace our uniform which applies to all the major manufactures including Adidas who we use.

  • Generally, a uniform style is available from Adidas for two full years, this would cover 4 soccer seasons.  Our current uniform started in Fall 2018, then to Spring 2019, then the following Fall 2019/Spring 2020 seasons.
  • Our uniform refresh cycle moving forward will be Fall 2020 and then again for Fall 2022, and so on.  We will send reminder emails/communications over the Summer with more information for all families registered for the Fall 2020 season.
  • The good news is for Fall 2020 we will only need to replace the Red Jersey.
    • There will also be a new style of short/socks but they will continue to be Red, therefore existing pairs will match close enough to be reused if they still fit.
    • The Gray jersey will continue to be available through Spring 2022.

Existing Uniform Kit through Spring 2020 season can be seen - HERE.

New Uniform Kit starting Fall 2020-Spring 2022 season can be seen - HERE.

Existing Uniform Kit replacements can be purchased - HERE

  • Returning players must specify the assigned jersey #.
  • New players will be contacted by the Uniform coordinator directly and assigned a jersey #.  Do not order a uniform until you have been provided this information.

General Information - Why Two Websites?

Hello Soccer Families,

Thank you for your patience as we have worked on the new website platform in conjunction with the CJSA.  Due to some ongoing issues and limitations we have 2 websites available and this will continue for the Spring 2019 season.  See the details below.

  • www.pomperaugsoccerclub.com is our primary website running on League Athletics for league communications, team management, scheduling of practices & games by your coaches, email reminders.
    How to access the site:
    • You can see your teams schedule at any time by using the menus on the top menu bar under 'Team'
    • Use your existing login - if you do not recall select the '?' and reset your password.
    • New Parents/Coaches - an account was generated using the email address that was in the Stack Sports registration system for your player or if you registered for an In-House program.  Select 'Sign In' link on the top right, then select the '?' and reset your password.
    • Information was imported into this website and you may not see roster photos for all players, this is OK.
    • If you need to update communication information, please update on both websites.

  • pomperaugsoccer.cjsalive.org - is the new Stack Sports website introduced in the Fall 2018 season.  This is the site where you originally registered and is how player/coach data is used with the Districts and the CJSA.
    • This is the site used for just Travel registration activities as of Spring 2020.  The 'Register: Travel' button above redirects you to this site.
    • This is the master location of the player/coach photos & age verification which is done with CJSA.
    • This is the master location of the status of your account and communication settings.
    • If you need to update communication information, please update on both websites.

Contact your coach if you have additional questions.
Thank you,
Pomperaug Soccer Club
