Travel U9 & U10

Pomperaug Soccer Club has separate boys and girls teams, with teams entered in either A, or B brackets (varying with registrations & what the Northwest district approach is).  All the teams travel to play teams in Northwest or Southwest District towns. Games are 7v7 with 30 minute halves and a size 4 ball.  Players are placed in a particular bracket for the upcoming Fall/Spring based on placement sessions held each year in June.   For all ages U9 and up, practice is twice a week.  Games can be played on Saturdays or Sundays.

Program Approach:

• U9-U10: The parent coach(es) will be the primary coach but they will get assistance and access to an Everson trainer throughout the season.  Practice is 2x per week, 1 run by an Everson trainer, 1 prepared and run by the Parent Coach.

• Ball juggling
• Positional responsibility overview
• Receiving and controlling the ball
• Players rotate different positions
• Passing
• Goal keeping skills
• Shooting
• Throw-in technique
• Left and right foot ability
• Stretching and cool-downs
• Emphasize talking and moving
• Enhanced Dribbling and Kicking​

Registration Costs: 

• $245 each season 
• The club offers Early-Bird discounts (-$20) so register early to save!!
• The club also adds on Late fees (+$45) - as any registration past the outlined dates causes additional work for our volunteers and the timelines that need to be met.
