Return to Play Recommendations for Pomperaug Soccer Club (updated 9/10)

Hello Soccer Families –

We are looking forward to the start of soccer season. The season will be a bit different, but we hope in the end everyone can enjoy the game and have fun.  Per the State of Connecticut, soccer is considered a Moderate Risk Sport and CJSA has cleared activities in a staged approach since June 17th, including group training, practices, scrimmages, and matches.

The Pomperaug Soccer Club will follow CJSA's guidelines as recommended by US Soccer and US Youth Soccer, more details can be found - HERE.

The club has self-certified that our soccer community will follow these guidelines and if we are found not to be following them, we can be penalized by CJSA which includes suspension of our club activities and fines.

At a high-level the PSC guidelines are similar to what we see in our daily lives now.  Masks must be worn by players/family  entering/exiting/being around the fields.  The club is also taking steps to minimize crowd size at the fields by spreading out time between practices and games to allow players to leave before the next group arrives.  Please review all details below.

Please do your part by noting all the items below and supporting the approach.  We will adjust as needed throughout the season.  If you have any questions please reach out to pomperaugsoccerclub@outlook.com.
