TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) – what is it?

TOPSoccer – also just known as TOPS -- is a community-based opportunity for young athletes with special needs to experience soccer, and an opportunity to get active and have fun.

TOPS was formed by US Youth Soccer to fulfill part of its mission statement which is, in part, "to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America's youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition."

The local TOPS team is organized by Pomperaug Soccer Club volunteers. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, who has a mental or physical disability. Our goal is to let athletes with special needs in area to become part of a Pomperaug soccer team.
